About the South East Strategic Pest Animal Management Plan.
The South East Regional Strategic Pest Animal Management Plan was developed through consultation with key stakeholders. It's important that we all work together to manage pest animals to allow for effective landscape management.
The plan covers 13 established pest species, such as deer, pigs and rabbits. It also highlights 'alert species' which are pests that not been established in the South East region yet, but pose a significant risk to our community and industries.
Other species such as feral birds and fish, which have been identified as pests, are also captured in the plan.
