About the North Coast Strategic Pest Animal Management Plan.
The North Coast Regional Strategic Pest Animal Management Plan was developed through consultation with a range of stakeholders.
The plan supports a collaborative approach to managing pest animals across the region, which includes Lord Howe Island.
On the North Coast, pest animals have a significant economic impact on primary production and pose a substantial threat to threatened species and ecological communities.
The plan will focus the allocation of resources and delivery of pest species management across 10 established pest species, including:
- Feral horse
- Feral deer
- Wild dog
- Feral goat
- Feral pig
- Feral cat
- European red fox
- Indian Myna
- Wild rabbit
- Cane toad
