About the Central Tablelands Strategic Pest Animal Management Plan.

The Central Tablelands Regional Strategic Pest Animal Management Plan was developed through consultation with a range of stakeholders. It's important that we all work together to manage pest animals.

The plan covers 9 established priority pest species such as wild dogs, feral deer and feral pigs. There are 3 prevention species listed that are not present in the Central Tablelands but are established in neighbouring regions and should be eradicated if new incursions occur.

There are an additional 3 alert species listed, which are not established nearby but have the potential to occur due to freight pathways or illegal pet trading. Alert/prevention species have the capacity to inflict significant impacts on the environment, community and industry.
