About the Central West Strategic Pest Animal Management Plan.

The Central West Regional Strategic Pest Animal Management Plan was developed through consultation with a range of stakeholders. It's important that we all work together to manage pest animals.

The plan focuses on managing pest animals to improve the region's biosecurity. It outlines the pest animal management priorities, with the overarching goal of protecting our agricultural and natural assets within the region. Pest animals significantly impact primary production, the economic and communities within the region.

The plan covers 10 established pest species for priority management. It also highlights 'alert species' which are pests that have been detected elsewhere yet pose a significant risk to our community, economy and industries in the Central West region of NSW.
