Welcome

Welcome to the community information page for the Integrated Mental Health Complex at Westmead Health Precinct.

The NSW Government has invested $540 million in the facility which will deliver new therapeutic environments that support safe, dignified, trauma-informed recovery-focused care.

The complex has been designed with consumers and staff to promote recovery and reduce stress for everyone who stays, visits or works there.

The Integrated Mental Health Complex will be located close to the new Westmead Hospital Block K (new main building), with a link bridge connection over Redbank Road to the main entry, adult emergency and psychiatric emergency care.

As part of the project, existing mental health services currently located at the Cumberland Hospital West Campus will be relocated to the new Integrated Mental Health Complex in the Westmead Heath Precinct.

Cumberland Hospital will continue to provide care to consumers, and support staff, carers and visitors until the new Integrated Mental Health Complex is completed.

Early works are now underway to prepare the site for the start of main works in 2025. Construction will be completed in 2027.
