The rail bridge on Wooyung Road in Crabbes Creek requires an upgrade to better serve the community. The upgrade will involve replacing the current rail bridge with a new widened steel arch bridge.
As part of this project, Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is consulting with the community and stakeholders to understand current bridge use and how the proposed work may impact them, ahead of works planned to commence in January 2026.
This project aims to significantly improve safety, accessibility, and transport efficiency for all road users.
As part of the upgrade, you will see some of the following improvements:
- A wider bridge to allow for two-way traffic which will ease traffic congestion and reduce travel time
- An improvement to the quality and safety of the bridge to meet the current engineering and road standards.
Works are proposed from January 2026 to August 2026.
