Background

Have Your Say engagement

In late 2023, we held a consultation for public feedback and input on ways to make the construction industry a better place to work.

Only 13% of people working in the NSW construction industry are women.

We want to understand how gender influences people’s experiences and views on working in the construction industry.

Making the construction industry open to everyone can help bring more people into jobs that need filling.

A diverse and inclusive construction industry can bring more innovation, productivity and a better economy for NSW.

The key findings from this research are available to read in the Women in Construction Report.
