Why are we collecting your personal information?

The Department of Customer Service (DCS) and the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure are collecting your personal information through this survey and mapping tool for the purpose of refining the draft strategy for the Wollongong Health Precinct.

What personal information do we collect?

We will collect the following information from you:

  • Demographic information, email and personal opinions on the draft Health Precinct structure plan.

How will we use and disclose this information?

DCS and the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure will use the personal information we collect about you to review the draft structure plan. This information will be considered when refining the draft structure plan for the Wollongong Health Precinct.

We may provide your personal information to other areas of DCS (for example the Data Analytics Centre and Customer Insights) so that we can conduct analysis across all consultations and refine our engagement methodology.

The personal information will be stored on the DAC’s secure platform, which is hosted in a secure commercial cloud data centre in Australia.

Are you required by law to provide us with this information?

Participating in a Have your say consultation is voluntary, and you are not legally required to provide any personal information to us. However, if you choose not to provide us with the requested information, we may not be able to obtain the data and information required to refine the draft structure plan.
