Help us improve accessibility across NSW public transport.

For many people with lived experience of disability, public transport is critical to enable full participation in society. However, many people living with disability have difficulty or require assistance when using public transport, while some are unable to use it altogether.

Transport for NSW is developing a strategy to improve accessibility across the NSW public transport system for people with lived experience of disability. The strategy will provide a pathway for how we will continue to work towards our compliance obligations under the Disability Standards for Accessible Public Transport 2002 (Cth) and ensure we are delivering positive outcomes for our customers with disability.

You are invited to provide feedback to help us understand the challenges people with lived experience of disability are facing when using public transport, and how we can help make public transport safer and more equitable, inclusive, and accessible for everyone.

Tell us what you think

We invite everyone over the age of 16 years to provide feedback through a short, 10-minute survey.

Your feedback will help inform our strategy for delivering an accessible state-wide transport system to improve transport access for people with lived experience of disability.

You can also refer to the Consultation Paper outlining further information. An Easy Read version is also available.

The consultation is open until Friday 17 November 2023.
