NSW Special Entertainment Precinct Guidelines and Acoustic Toolkit Response to Submissions

The Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner recently invited feedback on the NSW Special Entertainment Precinct Guidelines (Guidelines) and the NSW Special Entertainment Precinct Acoustic Toolkit: Optional Sound Guidance and Templates for Councils (Acoustic Toolkit).

The public exhibition was open from 30 August to 27 September 2024. A total of 30 submissions were received from various groups, including local councils, community members, industry and NSW Government agencies.

Thank you to those who took the time to share your valuable feedback. The Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner has carefully reviewed all the responses and amended the documents where appropriate to ensure that the Guidelines and Acoustic Toolkit are applicable to a range of environments and address potential impacts on local amenity.

You can read a summary of the feedback received and how it has been responded to in the Response to Submissions.

The Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner has now published the final NSW Special Entertainment Precinct Guidelines and the NSW Special Entertainment Precinct Acoustic Toolkit: Optional Sound Guidance and Templates for Councils.

You can read the Guidelines and Acoustic Toolkit, and find additional resources including a best practice Handbook, templates, SEP Support Hub and the SEP Kickstart Grant Program for eligible councils on the Office of the 24-Hour Economy Commissioner website.
