Selling goods and services to NSW Government

Let's make it easier for small and medium businesses to sell to NSW Government

We want to do more business with regional, small and medium businesses. You can help by telling us the challenges or pain points you come across when supplying to the NSW Government and how you think these can be fixed.

Your input will help us to better understand:

  • what blocks or helps you when supplying to us
  • how well our current policy to buy from regional, small and regional businesses works and how to improve it.

We'll use what you tell us to develop training and resources for small business.

We're reviewing the rules

The rules are set out in the Small and Medium Enterprises and Regional Procurement Policy.

The policy is to help:

  • support local businesses, start-ups and innovation and primary industries
  • build small and medium business capability to supply to government
  • make supplying to government easy for small and medium businesses
  • listen to local businesses and measure participation.

We want to know your thoughts on whether the policy has met its aims and if any changes need to be made.

Tell us what you think

You can choose to remain anonymous as you give your views. Information you provide here will not be linked to any quotes or tenders you make.

The team at the NSW Small Business Commission would like to talk to some small, medium and regional businesses. If you are willing to do this, provide your contact details at the end of the survey and we might contact you.

Thank you for your feedback

Thank you to participants for providing your input and ideas. Feedback has been considered and informed initiatives such as the NSW Small Business Strategy 2023-26.
