Reforming building laws in NSW
The NSW Government is working to increase confidence in our building and construction industry.
We are looking at how we can better protect consumers and support workers through our Reforming building laws in NSW consultation.
Have your say on supplying and using safer building products
As part of this overall consultation, we are looking at improving the supply and use of safe building products in NSW by proposing changes to the Building Product (Safety) Act 2017.
These changes will improve quality, safety and transparency by making manufacturers and suppliers more accountable for the building products they design, produce or supply.
Additionally, designers, architects, engineers and builders will be responsible for the building products they specify and install.
This topic is most relevant to owner-builders, builders, specialist tradespeople, engineers, building designers, architects, developers, certifiers, inspectors, fire safety practitioners and building product suppliers and manufacturers.
Whether you work in building and construction or are a member of the public, if you have an opinion on the building industry in NSW, we want to hear from you.
