The NSW and Australian Governments have committed $910 million to build a new Rouse Hill Hospital on the corner of Commercial and Windsor roads, to deliver a range of health services centred around the needs of the patient.

Rouse Hill Hospital will become part of a leading network of health services providing comprehensive integrated care and community-based services.

Community and stakeholder engagement

The project team will continue to engage with the community and stakeholders during the planning and design process for the new Rouse Hill Hospital.

Recent community engagement outcomes are detailed below.

November - December 2025

The public exhibition of the State Significant Development Application (SSDA) for main works construction of the new Rouse Hill Hospital was exhibited in November and December 2025. The project team hosted four community information sessions for community members and stakeholders to learn more about the planning application and planning and design process.

The project team is reviewing all submissions and will provide formal responses in a Response to Submissions Report.

This report will be reviewed and published by the Department of Planning, Housing and Infrastructure.

August 2025

Maternity services survey

In August 2025, a survey was released to staff, community and stakeholder to help inform the design of the new comprehensive maternity services at Rouse Hill Hospital. Thank you to everyone who completed our online survey. Feedback and project responses are captured in the Rouse Hill Hospital Maternity Services Outcomes Report.

Early works planning

A Review of Environmental Factors to assess early works was placed on public exhibition in August 2025. The project team hosted five community information sessions for community members and stakeholders.

The Review of Environmental Factors received planning approval in October 2025.

August - October 2024

Community engagement to support early planning and design

The community was invited to participate in 6 community information sessions in August and September 2024 to learn more about the new Rouse Hill Hospital Development. A community and stakeholder consultation report was released in November 2024 detailing engagement with 350 visitors to community information sessions, almost 600 completed surveys and a further 90 stakeholders.
