The $40 million Resilient Homes Program - Central West is being developed to support residents impacted by the 2022 floods.

The NSW Reconstruction Authority is working with local communities to develop the Resilient Homes Program, supporting stronger, safer communities that can stay together.

The Program aims to strengthen community resilience and reduce the impact of future floods have on homes in the region.

The following Program streams are proposed:

  • Home buybacks
  • Resilient measures which include house raisings, retrofits, relocations and rebuilds
  • Home assessments.

The final Program will be informed by the community feedback received during information sessions being held across the four local government areas, online and via email.

Feedback is being sought in relation to:

  • participation requirements for the Program
  • the proposed measures and their suitability for the local area
  • other factors that should be considered in the development of the Program, such as the inclusion of rural properties.
