We’re evaluating the NSW Regional Health Plan and want to hear from you.

If you live in a regional, rural or remote area of NSW, your feedback will help improve health services and outcomes in your community.

This survey is being conducted as part of the first evaluation of the NSW Regional Health Strategic Plan 2022-2032. The Plan aims to build a sustainable, equitable, and integrated health system that delivers outcomes that matter most to patients and communities in regional, rural, and remote NSW.

There are six strategic priorities: strengthening the regional health workforce; enabling better access to safe, high-quality, and timely health services; keeping people healthy through prevention, early intervention, and education; keeping communities informed, building engagement and seeking feedback; expanding integration of primary, community, and hospital care; and harnessing innovation to support a sustainable health system.

Your responses will help assess progress against these priorities from a patient/family member/carer or community perspective, specifically regarding changes over the past 3 years (since 2022). We are looking for responses from consumers of healthcare services in regional, rural and remote locations.

Participation is voluntary, and you can withdraw at any time without consequence. All responses are anonymous and will not be linked to any personal identifying information. The final evaluation report, including aggregated survey findings, will be published on the NSW Health website.

Community consultation

We're consulting with the public to help assess progress against the Regional Health Strategic Plan from a patient/family member/carer or community perspective. This consultation is open for contributions until 19 December 2025.

Why are we collecting your personal information?

The Department of Customer Service (DCS) and NSW Health, are collecting your personal information through this consultation for the purpose of consulting with the public to assess progress against the Regional Health Strategic Plan priorities from a patient/family member/carer or community perspective, specifically regarding changes over the past 3 years (since 2022).

How will we use and disclose this information?

DCS and NSW Health will use the information we collect about you to assess progress against the priorities for the Regional Health Strategic Plan.

We may provide your personal information to other areas of the DCS, for example the Data Analytics Centre (DAC) and Customer Insights, so that we can conduct analysis across all consultations and refine our engagement methodology. The personal information will be stored on the DAC’s secure platform, which is hosted in a secure commercial cloud data centre in Australia.

Participating in a Have Your Say consultation is voluntary, and you are not legally required to provide any personal information to us.
