The NSW Government is investing in the Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct to create a leading centre for innovation, health and wellbeing through the integration of health, research, education and teaching.
To support this, three major health infrastructure projects are being delivered through the Randwick Campus Redevelopment project, including:
- A new Prince of Wales Hospital Acute Services Building (and UNSW Integrated Acute Services Building extension)
- Sydney Children’s Hospital Stage 1 and Minderoo Comprehensive Children’s Cancer Centre
- UNSW Health Translation Hub.
The new Prince of Wales Hospital Acute Services Building celebrated construction completion in late 2022, opening to the public in early 2023.
Main works on the Sydney Children’s Hospital Stage 1 and Minderoo Children's Comprehensive Cancer Centre commenced in September 2022, with completion expected in late 2025.
Construction of the UNSW Health Translation Hub commenced in mid-2023, with completion also planned for late 2025.
