What we measure gets done. Choosing what we measure matters.

We look forward to your feedback on what matters most to you or your family through a Performance and Wellbeing Framework. This will help us set priorities and deliver for families, households and businesses across New South Wales.

We want to understand what quality of life—or wellbeing — means for you. This goes beyond traditional economic measures to include indicators of wellbeing in areas such as the environment, culture and social cohesion.

We also want to ensure that the things we decide to measure, and the ways in which we measure them, resonate with the community. We would like to establish a clear set of measures to track the Government’s progress on much-needed reforms, including in housing, energy, education, and healthcare.

The indicators set out in the Performance and Wellbeing Consultation Paper should help start the discussion.
