    The Statutory Review of the native vegetation provisions of the Local Land Services Act 2013 is now complete.

    The NSW Government has completed a statutory review of the native vegetation provisions of the Local Land Services Act 2013. The provisions establish a framework used to inform and regulate native vegetation management on private rural land in NSW.

    The Minister for Agriculture tabled the final report in NSW Parliament on Thursday, 24 August 2023.

    The final report and public submissions received as part of this review can be accessed on the Local Land Services website.

  • Statutory review of the native vegetation provisions of the Local Land Services Act

    The NSW Government has commenced a five-year statutory review of the native vegetation provisions of the Local Land Services Act 2013 (the Act). Local Land Services is supporting the review with the assistance of an independent expert advisory panel.

    The review is required to five years after the native vegetation provisions commenced in August 2017. These provisions were part of a broader suite of Land Management and Biodiversity Conservation Reforms in NSW.

  • Statutory review of the Biodiversity Conservation Act

    The review of the native vegetation provisions of the Local Land Services Act 2013 is being carried out in conjunction with the statutory review of the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016. More information on the statutory review of the Biodiversity Conservation Act is available on the Department of Planning and Environment’s website.

    Local Land Services, the Department of Planning and Environment and the respective Chairs of the independent expert panels will consult with each other throughout the review process, particularly where there is connection between relevant parts of the Local Land Services Act 2013 and the Biodiversity Conservation Act 2016.
