The NSW Government is transforming 20 hectares of Moore Park Golf Course into a new public park for Sydney, close to one of the most densely populated parts of the city. The new park will support the needs of the growing communities surrounding Moore Park while retaining a minimum 9-hole public golf course.
In 2024, Greater Sydney Parklands consulted with park users, community and sporting groups, surrounding communities, councils and government agencies on their vision for the park. If you would like to know about the outcomes, read the What we heard report.
In response, we have developed a draft Establishment Plan for community feedback. The plan will deliver high-quality green space for community recreation alongside a minimum 9-hole golf course, expanded driving range and 18-short form (mini) golf course.
The NSW Government has committed $50 million to establish the 20-hectare park and reconfigured golf course at Moore Park South over the next 3 years, after the current operating agreement expires in mid-2026.
