Mental health and wellbeing matter to everyone.
The Mental Health Commission of NSW is leading the development of the Strategy for Mental Health and Wellbeing in NSW. It will include a focus on the mental health service system as well as the broader goal of better mental health and wellbeing for all in the community. This will include a broad, coordinated effort across all areas of government to prevent suicide.
We want to engage with and learn from anyone with interest in and insights about mental health and wellbeing in NSW.
This consultation is not intended to ask about a person's own mental health and wellbeing. It is asking for opinions about the mental health service system and about community mental health and wellbeing.
There are two ways to participate:
The 5 minute online survey is best for individuals, but anyone can complete it. The survey asks your opinion about mental health services and mental health and community wellbeing. It can be done anonymously.
Written submissions are also invited. This is the best option for organisations but it is open to anyone.
A Consultation Paper provides some background information and poses consultation questions for written submissions. An easy to read version is also available.
Targeted consultations will take place in the coming months, including community visits and virtual roundtables with stakeholders and government agencies.
To find out more, visit the Commission’s website.
