Licensing commercial and home building work
Reforming building laws in NSW
The NSW Government is working to increase confidence in our building and construction industry.
We are looking at how we can better protect consumers and support workers through our Reforming building laws in NSW consultation.
Have your say on licensing commercial and home building work
As part of the overall consultation, we are looking at simplifying the licensing system, improving the supervision of work and the quality of owner-builder work. This includes licensing certain commercial trade work for the first time.
This topic is most relevant to owner-builders, builders, specialist tradespeople, engineers, building designers, fire safety practitioners, architects and certifiers.
Whether you work in building and construction or are a member of the public, if you have an opinion on the building industry in NSW, we want to hear from you.
