We want to understand the impact of recent nightlife reforms on your work at NSW local councils. Your feedback will help us:
- Gauge the awareness of NSW local councils about the reforms.
- Assess the success of current initiatives.
- Help shape future policies and programs to continue to support local 24-hour economies.
A new state of the night
In 2023 and 2024, the NSW Parliament passed a series of reforms, known as the Vibrancy Reforms, designed to help make NSW a world-class nightlife destination for visitors, locals and workers.
Under the reforms, the NSW Government has made significant changes to enhance vibrancy including simplifying entertainment sound regulation, supporting outdoor activation and cutting red tape with streamlined approval processes.
