News feed

Transport for NSW have developed tools and resources as part of the Safer Cities Program for the Great Places Toolkit. The resources are intended to support practitioners and others involved in planning, managing and creating safe, vibrant and welcoming places and transport hub precincts for all.

The draft resources were on public exhibition from 6 March 2024 to 3 April 2024 to gather feedback. Over the public exhibition period, the resources were downloaded 700+ times from the Have Your Say page.

Overall, feedback on the resources was positive:

There was strong support for Transport for NSW in undertaking the development of these resources. Participants provided specific suggestions on what could be changed or improved in the resources to make them more useful. More detail on the feedback received, and what changes were made to the resources can be found in the Great Places Toolkit – Engagement Summary.

More information about the Safer Cities program can be found here.
