Faster Payment Terms policy review | government agencies
Help us improve and review the effectiveness of the payment policy for small businesses delivering services and goods to NSW government agencies.
Since the introduction of the Faster Payment Terms (FPT) policy in 2018, and the transition to five-day payment in 2020, there have been numerous advances in technology, including the introduction of e-invoicing and new payment platforms.
The NSW Government has been at the forefront of these developments through the NSW Digital Government Strategy which includes the introduction of an e-invoicing mandate from January 2022, policies to encourage card payments as well as the expansion of the Supplier Hub.
Additionally, the NSW Government’s Covid-19 Economic Recovery Strategy identified the FPT policy as a potential mechanism to support the state’s economic recovery.
Have your say
We are inviting NSW government agencies' staff (with FPT implementation responsibilities) to share feedback on the FPT policy to ensure it is delivering the best possible outcomes for small business in NSW.
Your input will help us assess whether the FPT policy remains appropriate and effective, and will be considered to make future improvements.
