A child’s first eight years is so important to their overall development.
Federal and state governments are designing a new approach to support children from birth to eight who have developmental concerns or autism and need low to moderate levels of support.
You may have heard this called Foundational Supports or Thriving Kids.
Children with higher needs will still be able to access the NDIS or other intensive supports.
NSW Government would like to hear from parents, carers, service providers, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families, and families from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Share your views in this survey:
- What should the vision and goals be?
- What supports and services are most helpful?
- Where and how would you like to access them?
Face-to-face consultations and online webinars are happening across NSW until November 2025.
This survey is another chance to help shape how these supports for children should work and be delivered in NSW.
