Almost 1,500 people from across NSW, QLD, VIC and ACT shared their thoughts and feelings about the development of a Digital Birth Certificate. To everyone who responded we thank you for your valuable feedback as it is instrumental in shaping the Digital Birth Certificate.

One of the key highlights from the survey was that 80% of respondents said they would use a Digital Birth Certificate, if it was available and universally accepted.

A prototype of the Digital Birth Certificate is currently in development and will be extensively tested before being released to the public. Once released, the Digital Birth Certificate will be optional and will compliment the paper birth certificate not replace it.
