Consultation was open on five codes of practice between 7 September - 8 October 2023.

• Accommodation for rural agricultural work
• Amenity tree industry
• Cutting and drilling concrete and other masonry products
• Overhead protective structures
• Safe use of synthetic mineral fibres
• Safe work on roofs for commercial and industrial buildings
• Sawmilling industry.

We received 280 completed surveys and 5 written submissions.

Thank you to everyone who participated; your feedback provided valuable information for SafeWork NSW to manage the next stage of the review.

SafeWork NSW has established an Industry Social Partners Working Group of specific industry and union representatives to review the public consultation responses and existing content. This is to ensure codes reflect work health and safety (WHS) best practices, technologies, and environmental conditions to achieved WHS standards required under the 2011 Work Health and Safety Act and 2017 Regulation laws. This will inform the next steps and if the codes will be updated. We expect to update you and this page over the next six months.
