Careers NSW pilot update

10 December 2021

Thank you for your valuable feedback and recommendations for Careers NSW services, the initiative that was announced by the NSW Premier in March 2021.

The results of this consultation informed the creation of the Career NSW pilot program and a summary of the analysis will be published on this page.

The Careers NSW pilot program was launched on 3 November 2021, offering three key services to NSW residents:

  • A self-service website to navigate all aspects of career advice. This service is available to all NSW residents regardless of age or job status: careers.nsw.gov.au
  • Connection with Industry Experts for industry and occupation insights. Appointments with an Industry Expert from one of seven priority industries initially, with more coming on board in the next months, is available online to all people 18 years and over.
  • Access to tailored career guidance from a professional Career Advisor. Career advice services delivered online to NSW residents, aged 18 years and over, across four priority regions (Western Sydney, South-west Sydney, New England and North-west NSW and Mid-north Coast NSW). Priority cohorts and industries (including construction, aged care, health, and tourism) have been identified within these regions.
