Transport for NSW is seeking feedback on the preferred option for the Bruxner Highway and Cowlong and Alphadale roads intersection improvement
Transport for NSW is planning to upgrade the Bruxner Highway and Cowlong and Alphadale roads intersection, to further improve safety at this intersection.
Key features of the preferred option include:
- Installation of traffic lights at this intersection. A smaller footprint will result in less earthwork for this intersection improvement. Installing traffic lights would result in less disruption and delays to motorists during construction when compared to building a roundabout.
- Traffic lights at this intersection align with the Bruxner Highway longer-term corridor improvements.
- To improve the overall connectivity between Lismore and Ballina, traffic lights will enhance safety and streamline traffic flow along the Bruxner Highway corridor.
Transport for NSW is seeking community feedback on the preferred option for the proposed improvement of the Bruxner Highway intersection with Cowlong and Alphadale roads.
The preferred option has been prepared based on our investigations to enable safer access to Cowlong and Alphadale roads, as well as ensure safety of through traffic movement along the Bruxner Highway.
