Have your say on a section 60 works application made under the Heritage Act 1977.

Under the Heritage Act 1977, you need to apply for approval for works or activities that may impact heritage listed items. The standard section 60 works application is for works and activities that will have, or have the potential to have, a moderate or greater impact on the significance of a State Heritage Register listed item.


The Heritage Council of NSW is seeking public comments on an application (HMS ID 13947) for development at Barrenjoey Headland, Palm Beach, NSW 2108, which is within the curtilage of a State Heritage Register item Barrenjoey Head Lightstation (SHR no. 00979).

The proposed works involve the decommissioning and removal of two NPWS cottages, ‘Barrenjoey Fisherman's Cottages’ and remediate the site within Barrenjoey Headland, Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park.
