Community consultation summary report

A summary of the community’s feedback has now been published.

We sought feedback to help reduce delays and improve safety and traffic flow for Argyle Street in Moss Vale.

Feedback received from the community in 2021 has helped to shape a preferred option for these traffic and pedestrian improvements. We want your input to inform the delivery of the project.

The Argyle Street traffic and pedestrian improvements proposed are in the planning stage and would deliver a more reliable transport network and ease congestion.

The proposed improvements include:

  • redistributing existing road space and parking to install designated right turn bays at the Argyle Street intersections with Valetta Street, Kirkham Street, Lackey Road and Arthur Street
  • installing pedestrian crossings and islands between Lackey Road and Railway Street and near Dalys Way
  • installing a traffic signal and pedestrian crossing at the Waite Street intersection and removing the crossing 50 metres south bound, along Argyle Street
  • restricting right turns out of Arthur Street and Railway Street onto Argyle Street
  • restricting right turns from Argyle Street onto Railway Street
  • resurfacing the road between Arthur Street and the Illawarra Highway roundabout
