Albury Wodonga Regional Hospital Project recently underwent its second planning stage. This stage included permanent verge parking upgrades along East Street and Borella Road, removal of buildings and relocation of services.
The new permanent verge parking areas will provide more than 200 additional spaces across four locations, improving access for patients, visitors, and staff. These upgrades will also help the hospital run smoothly during major construction, including the new multi-storey Clinical Services Building.
The design and planning for verge parking and associated works was informed by technical studies and consultation with key stakeholders.
As part of the public exhibition, feedback was sought on the project’s REF document, which was prepared to assess the potential benefits and environmental impacts of the project.
The submissions received are now being assessed and will help finalise the design before construction, which is expected to begin later in 2025 pending approval.
Health Infrastructure engages with community and stakeholders, including seeking input and feedback on our projects, in accordance with our Community Participation Plan.
The project team appreciates the valuable time and input provided by staff, stakeholders and the community into the design process for new permanent verge parking and associated works.
