Findings released

13 October 2023

The NSW Government have released the findings of the Aboriginal Procurement Policy Review.

More than 2,000 individual pieces of feedback were collected over 11 months. The review identified opportunities to improve the APP’s effectiveness to drive the Government’s objectives.

Everyone raised specific concerns and identified ways we could improve the Aboriginal Procurement Policy. Participants agreed that good progress has been made, but common themes were that the way the policy is used by agencies and suppliers needs significant change.

The NSW Government will consider the recommendations to develop and deliver a new Aboriginal Procurement Policy. This will include making government processes and procurement procedures more accessible for Aboriginal businesses and individuals.
