Concept design consultation

As planning for the Canterbury Hospital Redevelopment continues, the project is working through concept design.

The concept design involves the initial design layout, which identifies and illustrates the relationship between clinical functions, services, buildings and other facilities.

Staff, consumers, and the broader community were invited to provide input into the Canterbury Hospital Redevelopment and the project team is now working through the feedback that will directly inform the next stage of the project.

3D Block and Stack

The block and stack diagram is a tool used to visually represent the layout of the hospital’s departments and services, showcasing their location and relationship to one another. This process helps inform how the hospital will be arranged, to ensure departments and services are placed in a way that supports operations and clinical flow.
