The NSW Government has announced the proposed boundary for the Great Koala National Park to help protect endangered koalas and other threatened species in the region.

The park will also create opportunities for better visitor experiences, boost tourism, recreation and local economies.

Since the announcement in September 2025, NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service (NPWS) has been working with community groups, recreational clubs and others who care about the park to understand what matters most to them. We're sharing our vision and listening to your ideas about how the park should be managed in the future.
